This resin accessory represents the canvas cover over the hull of the Soviet BTR-40 armored personnel carrier in 1:35 scale. The set is intended for more advanced modelers and adds the faithful fabric folds to a model that the plastic from the box usually does not capture.
The BTR-40 was a Soviet light wheeled armored personnel carrier of the post-war era, derived from a truck chassis. It served to carry troops, for reconnaissance and as a command vehicle, and it was widely exported. The canvas cover protected the open hull and the crew against bad weather.
Wash the mold release agent off the part and cut off the casting block. Bond the cover with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The fabric folds come out well once painted with an airbrush and brought up with a wash and dry pigments.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue, paints and other parts are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
