The set brings 3D printed and already painted instrument panels of the flight deck of the twin-rotor transport helicopter in the D version in its late standard. The carrier is decal paper, so the parts transfer onto the model like a decal. The helicopter is not included in the package; this is an accessory for a kit in 1:35 scale. According to the manufacturer the accessory is cut for the Trumpeter kit.
Machines of the D version went through a series of partial modifications over long years of operation. From the outside the helicopter remained recognizable by the same features, but the equipment of the flight deck changed: control boxes were added or moved, the occupancy of the overhead console and parts of the instrument panel changed. The late standard is therefore not identical with the early machines of the same version. If you are building the model from a particular photograph, this is a fundamental difference, because in 1:35 scale the panel reads well through the glazing and a wrong layout of dials shows.
The helicopter cockpit is an enclosed space with large glazing, so it pays to work on the safe side. Trim the part closely so that no glossy edge of the carrier is left anywhere, and do not touch the face side with your fingers, because grease from your hands prevents seating and shows through later. Seat the panel on a smooth glossy surface, fine-tune the position and blot away the excess water with the edge of a paper towel. Once fully dry, coat the surface with satin or matte clear: it evens out the sheen and at the same time protects the print from abrasion during further assembly.
The accessory is supplied without the kit, paints and glue. Check the fit with your kit in 1:35 scale beforehand.
