ZBD-04A – track link pins in 1:35 scale are an add-on set for a kit of the infantry fighting vehicle you already own, not a model. They replace the indistinct pins on the individual track links. A Panda Hobby PH35042 kit is reckoned with.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set from Voyager Model brings replacement pins for the tracks of a model of the Chinese ZBD-04A infantry fighting vehicle in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of the vehicle and not complete tracks either but small parts, which are fitted into the links and replace the details from the original kit that show little. It is precisely the pins that are among the features the eye notices first when looking at a track from close up.
The target kit is the Panda Hobby PH35042; that is bought separately.
The ZBD-04A is a tracked infantry fighting vehicle of the Chinese army. It combines a turret with a weapon system of larger caliber and a gun of smaller caliber with space for the infantry carried. The vehicle has amphibious capabilities and a modern fire control system. Tracks with open links are clearly visible on this type and their execution markedly influences the overall impression a model makes.
Working with dozens of identical miniature parts calls above all for a system. Prepare a shallow dish or a lid to put the parts down in, because a pin once dropped will never come back out of the carpet. It proves its worth to work in small portions, ten to twenty parts at a time, and to keep to the same procedure throughout: take up, fit, fix, check. Dispense the glue with the tip of a wire, not straight from the bottle. Paint the track afterward as a whole, so that a uniform shade comes out, and let the metal sheen on the contact surfaces appear only by sanding once it is dry.
The set is an accessory, not a model. It does not hold the kit of the vehicle, the tracks or paints.
