Shoulder boards of the medical service of the German army, early variant, 1:35 are dry transfers from Archer intended for finishing the uniforms of figures.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a set of dry transfers, that is, an accessory for figures, not a figure or a kit. The motifs are transferred onto the finished and painted uniforms of figures in 1:35 scale and replace the hand painting of small uniform details that most modelers do not dare attempt at this scale. Archer is an American manufacturer that has long specialized in transfers and relief transfers.
In the German army of the Second World War a shoulder board carried the rank insignia and the color of the piping distinguished the branch of service. This set is confined to the medical service and to the form of the early period of the war; the later period is covered by a separate set from the same manufacturer. The particular ranks and color combinations on the sheet are not stated here.
A dry transfer is not soaked off in water. Cut the motif out together with its carrier film, lay it exactly in place, hold it and burnish evenly with a blunt point, a toothpick, a burnisher or a pencil without lead, until the motif transfers and goes matte. Then lift the film carefully. The surface must be smooth, dry and preferably matte. Plan the position in advance, because a transferred motif can no longer be moved. Finally we recommend spraying with matte varnish, which will seal the transfer and even the surface out.
This is an accessory for figures. Figures, paints and varnishes are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
