Ferdinand — early version 1:35 is an Aber photo-etched detail set for refining the exterior of a model of the German heavy tank destroyer. It is not a vehicle kit but a metal accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched metal detail set in 1:35 scale from Aber for the plastic model of the German Ferdinand heavy tank destroyer, that is the early version later redesignated Elefant. It is not a vehicle kit but a set of fine photo-etched parts that refine the exterior. The set is meant for experienced modelers.
The Ferdinand (Sd.Kfz. 184) was a German heavy tank destroyer of the Second World War with a massive 8.8 cm gun in a fixed superstructure. It first saw combat at the Battle of Kursk in 1943. The early form carried the designation Ferdinand; after later modifications the vehicles were given the name Elefant.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp blade, bend them over a bending tool or a metal rule and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Degrease the metal parts before painting and lay down a primer for metal. Fit the detail step by step, before the final assembly of the superstructure.
This is a photo-etched accessory for a model, not a standalone vehicle kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
