Aber 1:35 Ferdinand Tiger (P) VK 4501 is a photo-etched metal detail set for the plastic model of the Porsche VK 4501(P) prototype. It is an accessory for superdetailing, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched metal set from Aber in 1:35 scale for the plastic model of the VK 4501(P) heavy tank, that is the Porsche entry in the Tiger program. The set holds thin photo-etched parts that replace the coarser plastic parts and add fine detail to the hull and the superstructure.
The VK 4501(P) was Porsche's design for the Tiger heavy tank, with a gasoline-electric drive. It lost out in the competition to the Henschel version, but the part-built chassis gave rise to the well-known Ferdinand (later Elefant) heavy tank destroyer with an 88 mm gun.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp blade, form them in a bending tool and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Degrease the metal and prime it. Add the running gear detail before closing up the hull, then paint and weather with washes and pigments.
This is a detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, glue, paints and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
