A tiled floor for dioramas in 1:35 scale. An accessory for the interiors of houses, workshops and public buildings.
Responsibility details are not available.
As soon as you open up the inside of a building in a scene, the floor takes up the largest continuous area the viewer will see. Painting regular tiling with a brush is a whole evening's work and a single crooked joint is enough for the eye to notice that something is off. Ready-made tiling in 1:35 scale settles that in one stroke: the spacing of the joints matches the size of the figure standing on the floor, and the space immediately gains a scale.
In the corridors, kitchens and living rooms of shot-up houses, in workshops and garages, in the back rooms of a command post, in station halls and in the entrances of public buildings. It also serves well as an area from which part of the tiles has crumbled away and the underlay shows beneath them, which is a rewarding detail in a scene of fighting in a city.
Tiles on a real floor have dimensions in tens of centimeters, so in 1:35 scale a single square comes out at a few millimeters. That is exactly why tiling from another scale shows at once: the square is either too large and the room looks like something from a toy, or too fine and the area merges into gray wallpaper.
A diorama, figures, a model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
