Responsibility details are not available.
In an interior diorama the floor is the first area the viewer notices and at the same time the largest. Regular tiling moreover works as a scale: the eye compares the size of a tile with a figure and immediately forms an idea of the dimensions of the room. Tiling drawn by hand tends to be irregular, so a ready-made base that keeps the spacing the same over the whole area pays off.

First lay the base on the groundwork dry and think through where the axis of the joints will run; joints running at an angle to the edge of the base look restless. Cut the area off with a sharp blade along a rule, so that the edge stays straight, and preferably with a small allowance that you adjust in place. Glue the base onto a flat and degreased surface and press it down over its whole area, so that no bubbles rise beneath it. The look of tiling is livened up when a darker shade gets into the joints and the areas differ slightly from one another; absolutely identical tiles look like printing. Try a suitable paint and glue aside, because it depends on the material of the base.
The accessory suits builders of interior dioramas and vignettes in 1:35 scale who need a regular floor area without laborious marking out.
A base, figures, a model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
