Hobby Boss 1:35 French R39 Light Infantry Tank is an injection-molded plastic kit of the French light infantry tank of the early Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale from Hobby Boss captures the French R39 light infantry tank, the development continuation of the well known Renault R35. The set contains cleanly molded plastic parts on several sprues and a photo-etched fret for the fine details. The model is meant to be glued and painted.
The R39 was one of the French light infantry support tanks of the late 1930s. It was derived from the Renault R35 design, carried a single-man cast turret and, compared with the earlier form, was armed with the longer 37 mm SA 38 gun with better penetration. It was powered by a Renault gasoline engine and had a crew of two. French light tanks of this class were committed during the fighting in France in 1940.
On a tank, assemble and complete the running gear and the suspension before you close the hull - once it is glued they are hard to reach. Use thin modeling cement on the plastic, apply a base coat of primer before painting and spray with an airbrush. The broken French camouflage finish comes into its own once the edges are picked out and washes and pigments have added mud and dust effects to the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
