This is not a tank model but a photo-etched metal detail set from Aber in 1:35 scale. The set holds the front fenders for the German Panther medium tank in the Ausf. A and Ausf. D versions. The thin photo-etched plates faithfully replace thick-walled plastic and can also be shown folded, bent or damaged after period photographs.
The Panther Ausf. D and Ausf. A were the early and mid-production versions of the German medium tank of the Second World War, with well sloped armor and a 75 mm gun. The front fenders were made of thin sheet and in the field often carried traces of damage.
Separate the photo-etched fenders with a sharp knife; you get a realistic look by bending them slightly and suggesting damage. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a metal primer before painting and add pigments for an impression of mud and wear.
This is an accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
