A fuel tank for models of the M113 family in 1:35 scale, intended for kits by Academy and Tamiya.
Responsibility details are not available.
The M113 is an American tracked armored personnel carrier with an aluminum body, produced from the beginning of the 1960s and used in dozens of countries. A whole family of vehicles was built on its chassis: command, ambulance, mortar carrier and weapons carrier versions. The individual configurations differ in the equipment on the hull, and differences of exactly that kind are made good on a model with supplementary parts.
The fuel tank part for vehicles of the M113 family in 1:35 scale. According to the name it is cut for kits by the manufacturers Academy and Tamiya. The exact position on the vehicle and which kit variants will take the part without modification are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The part is not polystyrene, so cement for plastic models has no effect on it; it is glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder back, so as not to cut into the surface. Before gluing, try the part dry several times and polish the mating surface so that it seats without a gap. Before painting, wash it in lukewarm water and degrease it, let it dry and apply a thin coat of base color. The tank is usually painted at the same time as the rest of the hull, so that the shade does not differ.
The vehicle kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
