1:35 Garbage Bags from Matho Models — miniature garbage bags for dioramas. An inconspicuous detail that will give a modern urban scene raw credibility.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of miniature garbage bags in 1:35 scale from the production of Matho Models. A diorama prop, not a kit: stuffed bags of the kind that pile up by trash cans, in yards and on sidewalks. Few accessories create the atmosphere of an ordinary city as reliably as a heap of garbage in the right place.
The bags belong above all in modern scenes, in the corners of streets, by containers, in yards, in the war ruins of present-day conflicts and by abandoned buildings. Build them up into little heaps; one torn bag with its contents spilled out (crumbs of filler, pieces of paper) will liven a scene up further. They work splendidly in contrast with military equipment among city buildings.
The base is a satin or semi-gloss black; matte looks like rubber and too much gloss like something wet. Bring the volume of the bags out with drybrushing in dark gray over the tops of the folds and leave the hollows dark. Some of the bags can be painted blue or yellow as sorted waste. Dusting with pigments at ground level will settle the bags into the scene; glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. A heap is effectively completed by small litter, scraps of paper, a can or a bottle thrown away, made from a modeling flexible rod.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
