A resin figure in 1:35 scale from the Polish maker Toro Model. It is a stand-alone historical figure meant for a diorama or for a display base, not a kit of a piece of equipment. The casting is supplied unassembled and unpainted; paints, glue and a base are not included in the box.
The subject is General Józef Haller in the uniform of 1920, as he is depicted at the ceremony known as the Wedding to the Sea, which took place in Puck Bay. It was a formal act that included throwing a ring into the water. For the modeler the main interest lies in the general's uniform of the period, with a long coat, high riding boots and headgear, and in the chance to set the figure in a more civilian, non-combat scene by the coast.
Wash the casting in lukewarm soapy water and rid it of the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw, sand the mating surfaces and protect your airways when sanding resin. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Lay on a thin primer, which will reveal any small unfinished spots. The long coat is rewarding for smooth shading: an acrylic base with the transitions done in oil paints. Finish the face and hands with a fine brush in several thin layers, and bring out the metal fittings of the uniform with a dry brush.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
