About product

Aber StuK.40 L/48 7.5 cm barrel with the early muzzle brake (1:35)

A detailing accessory from the Polish manufacturer Aber: a precisely turned metal gun barrel of the German StuK.40 L/48 gun of 7.5 cm with the early type of muzzle brake, meant for models of the assault guns StuG.III Ausf.F/8 and StuG.III Ausf.G in the early version. The set usually combines a turned barrel body with a brass muzzle brake and fine photo-etched parts.

What it is for

  • It replaces the plastic barrel from the basic kit with a perfectly round metal part with no mold seams.
  • It faithfully reproduces the shape of the early muzzle brake and the bore of the barrel.
  • It raises the durability and the accuracy of the most exposed part of the model.

Fitting tips

Glue the metal and photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Degrease the mating surfaces; it is best to treat the metal with a primer for metal before painting, so that the paint holds well. Follow the drawings for the correct orientation of the muzzle brake.

Who the set is for

  • Builders of German armor who want maximum realism.
  • Modelers building the StuG.III Ausf.F/8 or the early G.

This is an accessory, not a whole model. The basic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
