Responsibility details are not available.
This resin kit from the Czech manufacturer Plusmodel captures the German military trailer designated Sd.Ah.54 in 1:35 scale. Trailers are among the overlooked and yet omnipresent elements of military life, and precisely for that reason such a model can add more to the credibility of a diorama than another piece of combat equipment.
During the Second World War the German army used a standardized range of special trailers designated by the abbreviation Sd.Ah. (Sonderanhänger) and numbered according to their purpose, from the transport of materiel and ammunition to specialized equipment. The trailers were hitched behind trucks, tractors and cross-country cars alike and accompanied units on every front. Detailed documentation of the individual types is today the domain of specialized literature, which makes them an interesting theme for well informed modelers.
Wash the resin parts in warm soapy water, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue; protect your airways while sanding. Take care over the alignment of the wheels and the plane of the chassis. Choose the color according to the towing vehicle and the period, German gray or dark yellow with camouflage blotches, and unite the trailer with the rest of the combination by a common layer of dust and mud on the chassis.
It is supplied as an unassembled and unpainted resin kit for experienced modelers. Glue, paints, the towing vehicle and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
