German water cans with the ABP marking, 1941 pattern, open, 1:35 is an accessory set of ten water cans with the closure flipped open.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a vehicle kit but a set of accessories. According to the name the package holds ten water cans of the 1941 pattern in the open version, that is with the closure flipped open. Open pieces give a scene action: they suit a figure drawing water or a place among material laid out beside a vehicle.
The water can was based on the same design as the fuel one: three handles side by side for carrying by one man or by two, a pressed cross on the sides as a stiffener and a quick-release closure with a lever that could be worked with one hand. So that the contents were not confused, water cans were set apart by lettering and as a rule by a white cross on the side. The pressed maker's mark and the year of the pattern on the body are what sets the individual sets of this line apart from one another.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with dish soap, remove the remains of the gates and level the edges with fine sandpaper. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply the primer thinly so that the relief of the pressing and the lettering stays readable. On the open pieces darken the inside of the neck, or it will look flat. Apply the distinguishing white cross or lettering with a mask or a thin brush; at the end add a dark glaze into the hollows, stippled scuffs on the edges and dust with pigment.
The set is an accessory, not a vehicle kit. It is supplied unpainted; glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
