The accessory in 1:35 scale represents a lengthened mechanical jack of the highest capacity class in the version common to vehicles of the Panther line and to the heavy King Tiger. The package contains no kit — it is a single detail that is added to a finished model.
That the maker gives two different vehicles for one casting is not inconsistency. German equipment shared sets of tools across types of similar weight, so the same jack appeared on more than one chassis. For a modeler that means a practical advantage: anyone building both vehicles reaches for the same accessory. The position of the mounting differed between types and between production batches, though, so it pays to check it against photographs of the particular version.
The cleanest result comes from painting the jack separately. Stick it on a wooden stick with double-sided tape, spray the primer and the top color and only then transfer the finished part to the vehicle. If you do paint it on the model after all, cover the surrounding area with masking tape cut into narrow strips, and above all do not forget that sprayed paint fills the gap between the body and the bracket — so clean the gap out with the tip of a scalpel before painting. Apply superglue in the smallest possible quantity, as its residue goes white once dry and shows through a thin layer of paint.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and masking material are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
