Aber 1:35 photo-etched grilles for the Tiger I is a fine metal set that replaces the plastic covers of the cooling openings of the engine compartment with faithful mesh.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Aber photo-etched grilles are a photo-etch set in 1:35 scale from the Polish manufacturer Aber. It is not a model of a tank but a precise metal accessory for a plastic model of the German Tiger I heavy tank (Sd.Kfz. 181). The set replaces the plastic grilles and covers of the cooling openings on the upper deck of the engine compartment.
The plastic covers have the mesh structure only suggested and look heavy. The Aber photo-etched parts, by contrast, are thin and see-through like real mesh, so the structure of the engine compartment shows beneath them and the whole upper deck of the Tiger looks more faithful. The parts are designed as a direct replacement for the corresponding plastic components.
Nip the parts out of the photo-etched sheet, clean up the tags and make the bends along the pressed grooves. Use super glue (cyanoacrylate) for bonding. Before painting, degrease the metal surface and spray it with a primer.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
