Photo-etched engine deck grilles for the Panther Ausf.G and the Jagdpanther Ausf.G2 in its late form in 1:35 scale, cut for Takom kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
The grilles above the engine deck are among the most conspicuous surfaces of the whole machine on the Panther and the Jagdpanther. On a model they are visible from above, that is, from exactly the angle from which a model in a display case is most often viewed. Plastic grilles tend to be thick and solid because of the way they are produced, so they look like a blind plate. Photo-etched metal, by contrast, is thin and really see-through, so a space opens up beneath it and the surface gains depth.
The set is intended for the Panther Ausf.G and for the Jagdpanther Ausf.G2 in its late form, both in 1:35 scale, and according to the name it is cut for kits from the Takom brand. With another kit, expect the dimensions of the seating surfaces not to match and the parts to need tuning.
First remove the plastic grilles from the kit and level the surface beneath them. It is worth painting that surface dark in advance, because it will be visible through the see-through grille. Cut the photo-etched parts off the fret with a sharp blade on a hard surface and flatten the plane areas before gluing, so that nothing stands proud. They are glued with super glue applied in a tiny amount to the edges; any excess would run through the holes and show once dry. Wash and degrease the metal before painting.
The vehicle model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
