This injection-molded plastic kit from the Japanese manufacturer Pit-Road renders the Type 90 75 mm field gun of the Imperial Japanese Army in 1:35 scale, in the motorized variant, that is with wheels adapted for faster towing by a motor tractor. Crew figures are included in the package as well; they bring the gun to life and suit a diorama. For the exact contents of the package and the number of parts, follow the instructions in the box.
The Type 90 was the standard field gun of the Japanese army, developed at the turn of the 1920s and 1930s. Its design followed the European trends of the day and offered decent range and firepower for its time. The motorized version with modified wheels allowed a higher transport speed than conventional horse-drawn towing, and the gun thus served with units deployed in the fighting of the Second World War.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife or nippers and join them with liquid modeling cement for plastic. Before varnishing we recommend sealing the surface with a base color (primer) for better adhesion. Apply the subtle shades of Japanese army green and brown with an airbrush and deepen the weathering with dark washes and dust pigments. Paint the crew separately and place them only once the gun has been varnished.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
