1:35 KHARKOV 1943 PART 2 TIGERS OF "LEIBSTANDARTE SS ADOLF HITLER"

ELEFANT Kharkov 1943 Part 2 - Tigers of the Leibstandarte 1:35

A set of wet (water-slide) decals in 1:35 scale with the markings of German Tiger I heavy tanks used with the Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler division during the fighting at Kharkov in the spring of 1943. The second part of the series extends the choice of tactical numbers and insignia for a faithful rendering of particular machines.

Contents and use

The sheets contain tactical numbers, unit insignia and supplementary markings for several particular tanks. The decals are applied with the classic wet technique onto a gloss surface, which prevents the edges whitening, and are then evened out with a matte varnish.

Application tips

• Varnish the area under the decal with a gloss coat.
• Soak the decal, seat it and blot the excess water.
• Use a softener to settle the decal onto busy surfaces and rivets as well.
• Finally fix everything with a matte varnish and weather it to match the reference.

Who the set is for

• Builders of Tiger I models interested in the Eastern Front.
• Modelers focused on particular machines of the Leibstandarte division.

The decals are supplied on their own; paints, varnish and a model are not included in the package.
