A plastic kit of the German army truck LKW 5t mil gl in 1:35 scale from the Hobby Boss brand. The model captures the five-ton off-road truck of the Bundeswehr with all-wheel drive and with a cab rendered in detail. It is a more extensive kit with a large number of parts.
The LKW 5t mil gl is a five-ton off-road truck taken into service with the German army from the second half of the 1970s. A diesel engine powered it and thanks to all-wheel drive it managed heavy terrain. It served mainly to carry materiel and personnel, it existed in an arrangement with a flatbed body as well as with a tarpaulin, and it served as the carrier of artillery and special systems.
On a truck, assemble the chassis, the axles and the cab first. Use a thin modeling cement on the plastic, treat the surface with a base coat and apply the paints with an airbrush. Washes and pigments for dust and mud effects on the chassis and the tires round the final look off.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
