Photo-etched panels in 1:35 scale for a model of the M1134 ATGM anti-tank vehicle from the family of eight-wheeled Stryker armored vehicles.
Responsibility details are not available.
The M1134 ATGM is the anti-tank variant of the eight-wheeled Stryker armored vehicle serving with the US Army. Its identifying feature is the launcher for TOW anti-tank guided missiles: in the firing position it rises above the hull, and for travel it folds down. The hull has large flat surfaces on which even a small deviation in the thickness of a part is noticeable on a model.
The package contains photo-etched metal panels in 1:35 scale for that vehicle. Which places on the model they belong to and in what order they are glued is given in the manufacturer's instructions that come with the set. The main benefit of photo-etch here lies in the thickness of the material: a flat metal part does not behave like a molding at its edges, and the edge stays sharp even after painting. The difference from the part in the box is usually most apparent in photographs of the finished model.
Separate the panels with a sharp blade on a hard surface and level the tabs with a fine file. Lay each part dry in place first and only then glue it; make any bend over the edge of a ruler or in a photo-etch bender. Use as little cyanoacrylate glue as possible, otherwise it wicks across the surface and leaves matte marks. Wash, degrease and prime the surfaces before painting so that the paint holds on the smooth metal and does not rub off during further handling.
The set is for modelers who are bringing the flat parts and edges on an armored vehicle closer to the real thing. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
