An injection-molded plastic kit of the American military truck M37 (3/4 ton, 4x4 drive) from Roden. The model offers finely made parts and a detailed engine. The M37 is a classic light truck of the postwar US Army with an open as well as a canvas-covered cargo bed. The box contains injection-molded plastic parts and decals; check the exact contents on the box.
The M37 truck was developed by Dodge in 1950 and combined the best of the proven vehicles of the Second World War. Series production ran until 1968 and more than 115000 were built in many forms. The vehicle carried troops as well as cargo and proved itself widely in the Vietnam War as well. It was a reliable off-road workhorse with all-wheel drive.
The detailed engine and chassis deserve care — assemble them before you close the body up. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and sand off the stubs left after clipping. A primer base and an airbrush are recommended. Liven the olive drab up with modulation, washes will bring out the rivets and the panels, and pigments and mud effects will give the chassis and the tires realistic weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
