The M60 was an American main battle tank of the second postwar generation, which replaced older types in the army of the United States and served in a number of countries long after the end of its American career. The M60A3 version represents the last major production and upgrade level of the line: it brought an improved fire control system, a laser rangefinder and further changes to the turret. The main armament was a 105 mm gun. The M9 blade was a separate piece of engineer equipment that could be fitted to selected vehicles as a unit needed.
Assemble and paint the running gear and any internal detail before you close the hull and fit the blade. Try attaching the blade only after the base painting, as access to the front of the hull is considerably worse with it in place. Apply a primer to the surface, put the paint on with an airbrush in thin coats and keep the modulation of the surfaces. For weathering, dark washes in the engraved lines, rubbing of the edges with a dry brush and pigments on the running gear and on the blade, which is usually the most scuffed part in service, all work well.
