Injection-molded plastic kit of the German destroyer Zerstörer Z-25 (1944) in 1:350 scale from Trumpeter.
Responsibility details are not available.
Injection-molded plastic kit of the German destroyer Zerstörer Z-25 as she was in 1944, in 1:350 scale from Trumpeter. The model captures the late configuration of the ship with strengthened anti-aircraft armament, and it is rounded out by photo-etched parts and a display base. For the exact contents, follow the enclosed instructions.
The Z-25 was a German Type 1936A destroyer commissioned in 1940. During the war she was modified: the forward gun was replaced by a twin gun turret and the anti-aircraft armament was strengthened, which is exactly what the 1944 version captures. The Type 1936A ships were among the heavily armed German destroyers, with guns of a larger caliber than the preceding classes.
Set the hull squarely on the supplied base, and leave the turrets and the torpedo tube mounts free to move until the paint has dried. Glue with thin cement for plastic; fit the fine photo-etched parts (railings, radars) with cyanoacrylate glue at the end. A late-war look calls for German naval gray and camouflage schemes, restrained washes in the joints, picked-out decks and light weathering at the waterline.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
