Photo-etched maple leaves for a diorama from the manufacturer Aber. Photo-etched vegetation: frets of maple leaves for diorama scenes.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a photo-etched metal diorama accessory from the Polish manufacturer Aber, a fret of maple leaves. It is neither a kit nor a finished tree, but material from which a modeler makes the foliage of a canopy, fallen leaves on the ground or a drift of leaves on a vehicle. Photo-etched metal keeps its shape and does not curl the way paper alternatives do.
The leaves are separated from the fret one at a time or in small groups and glued onto branches, into grass or straight onto the terrain. Their shape matches a maple, a tree common in Central Europe and in North America alike. Because this is loose vegetation, the material can be used in several scales: in a smaller scale it serves as the foliage of a full-grown tree, in a larger one as individual fallen leaves.
Separate the leaves with a sharp scalpel straight on a hard surface and work over a tray, as small parts easily spring away. The shape of a leaf can be bent slightly with a pointed tool so that it does not look flat. Paint them while still on the fret: degrease, a base coat for metals and several shades with an airbrush, the underside lighter. Glue with cyanoacrylate gel.
This is diorama material, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base of a tree are not included in the package.
