Workable metal tracks Friulmodel 1:35 MBT-70 / Kpz.70, cast white metal that will replace the plastic tracks from a kit and give the model faithful weight and sag.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of workable tracks from Friulmodel in 1:35 scale for the MBT-70 / Kpz.70 tank prototype. The tracks are cast in white metal and are made up of individual links, which are joined to one another by thin wire passing through the pin holes. The resulting track stays workable, faithfully follows the sag over the road wheels and by its weight gives the model a realism that plastic or rubber tracks from a kit cannot offer. It is not a kit of a vehicle but a detail replacement of the tracks.
The MBT-70 (in German Kampfpanzer 70, Kpz.70) was a joint American and German main battle tank project of the 1960s. It was a technically ambitious prototype of the Cold War period, which never reached series production but influenced later designs. Its hull and running gear are among the characteristic features of a model.
Clean the links of any flash, assemble them on the wires and shorten the excess wire with cutters. The joints can be secured with a drop of cyanoacrylate. Degrease the metal before painting and apply a base color suitable for metal; metal tracks hold a patina, washes and pigments for mud and dust effects excellently.
The set serves as an accessory to a plastic model of the matching vehicle; the model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
