The contents are waterslide decals for formal Mercedes-Benz passenger cars in Polish service. It is important to know that this is not a model of a car or a kit; the set serves solely for marking a finished model in 1:35 scale, which has to be obtained separately.
Besides ordinary registration plates, large formal cars often carried further distinguishing elements. The decal set handles this kind of marking all at once and in consistent print quality, so the modeler does not have to take on painting small lettering and numerals by hand. Usually only part of the sheet is used for one model, and the rest stays in reserve for further builds.
Decals hold best on a gloss surface. Spray the finished painted model with a gloss clear coat, cut the decal out as close to the motif as possible and dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds. Once it releases from the backing, move it into place, blot off the excess water and use a decal softener so that the motif draws down onto the surface. On broken-up surfaces and on the edges of the hood a softener is practically essential, otherwise a bubble forms. Once dry, varnish the whole model to the gloss level you want; that also makes any edge of the carrier film disappear.
The set holds only decals. A model, paints and varnish are not included in the package.
