This is a set of accessories for a diorama in 1:35 scale, not a vehicle kit. The second part of the line with a modern urban setting follows on from the first volume and is intended to build up the scene around a finished model. The contents of the package, the number of parts, the dimensions and the material of the castings are stated on the box of the set, and it pays to look at it before ordering.
A model built on a bare board reads as an exhibit; a model set in a setting tells a story. Urban elements in 1:35 scale help to give the whole scene its scale and let the viewer find their bearings in the space. It proves best to work with one main mass and a few smaller accessories rather than to fill the scene with everything at once, because empty space matters in a diorama just as much as filled space. If you are building a continuing view, the second part of the line can be combined with the first to make a longer stretch of street.
Wash the castings in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap before building and let them dry. Cut the casting remnants off with a fine saw, sand the surfaces and protect your airways while sanding. Choose the glue to match the material of the parts: super glue based on cyanoacrylate for resin and hard castings, thin modeling cement for plastic. Then put a thin primer on. Concrete and rendered surfaces come to life when you paint them unevenly with several close shades and only then tie them together with a dark wash; asphalt keeps its credibility better in gray tones than in black ones. Finish the dust and deposits at the foot of the walls with pigments and tie the transition to the base in with the same color as on the model.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
