The set belongs among the accessories made of resin and plastic, that is among cast parts, which differ from photo-etched sheet in the way they are worked. The set is cut for the Tamiya 35264 kit.
The M2 Bradley is an American tracked infantry fighting vehicle with a turret carrying an autocannon and a launcher for guided missiles. The version designated ODS came about after the experience of the fighting in the Persian Gulf and takes in modifications to the equipment, the navigation and the protection of the crew. Vehicles of this version differ from older standard examples in a series of small external details, which either do not appear on kits or are carried out in simplified form.
Cast accessories are worked differently from plastic. Wash the parts first in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent and let them dry thoroughly, because mold release clings to the surface and paint would not hold on it. Do not snap the casting blocks off but cut them away with a fine-bladed saw or a sharp scalpel, ideally away from the shaped surfaces. When sanding, use wet abrasive paper and protect your breathing, as resin dust is not something to inhale. They are glued with cyanoacrylate; ordinary cement for plastic will not join these parts. Before painting, lay on a base, which will unify the different materials on the model and reveal any scratches left by sanding. Only then apply the paint and the weathering.
The set is an accessory for a kit, not a standalone model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
