MAiM mushrooms with a tree trunk in 1:35 scale are a natural scenic accessory, a small woodland picture that gives a diorama depth and lightens even the gravest military scene.
Responsibility details are not available.
A scenic accessory from the manufacturer MAiM in 1:35 scale combining a piece of tree trunk with mushrooms. It is not a kit of a vehicle but a natural prop from the category of low vegetation, and it is precisely such small things that decide whether a base looks like a piece of living forest or merely a green surface.
A rotting trunk overgrown with mushrooms is a classic motif of woodland undergrowth: place it at the foot of a tree, at the edge of a path or in a damp shady corner of a diorama. It fills out military scenes from the Eastern Front as well as civilian and fairy-tale subjects, and it also works as an accent of its own on a small vignette with a figure. Natural elements of this kind are moreover not tied to any particular period, so they suit everything from historical scenes to the present day.
After cleaning up and priming, paint the trunk with glazes of brown and gray with a dark wash in the texture of the bark; a damp, rotted surface is suggested by darker green-brown tones at the foot. Treat the mushrooms in naturally muted colors, or give them bolder caps as an accent of color in the scene. Static grass, fallen leaves and pigments will fill out the surroundings.
It is supplied as an unpainted casting to be cleaned up and painted. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
