A brass photo-etched set of fenders in 1:35 scale from Voyager Model. The set is meant for the Chinese Type 62 light tank and serves to refine and raise the detail of a plastic kit. It is not a kit of the vehicle but an accessory, a detail set that replaces or adds to selected plastic parts with fine photo-etched items. It holds precisely shaped fenders above the running gear. The target kit is the Trumpeter 05537.
The Type 62 is a Chinese light tank, a lightened counterpart of the Type 59 medium tank meant for broken and mountainous terrain. This set is aimed at the fenders above the running gear, which are among the details that markedly improve the look of a finished model.
Carefully separate the photo-etched parts from the fret with a sharp knife on a hard surface and clean up the edges. Use a photo-etch bending tool or a metal ruler for the bends, so as to get sharp, straight edges. Glue the parts with cyanoacrylate glue, remove the excess and degrease the joints before spraying. It is best to spray the brass with a primer for better adhesion of the coats that follow.
The photo-etched accessory calls for a matching plastic kit in 1:35 scale, which is not included in the package. Glue, paints and the model itself are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
