A resin figure in 1:35 scale from the Polish maker Toro Model. It is a stand-alone figure for a diorama or a display base, not a kit of a piece of equipment. The casting is supplied unassembled and unpainted; paints, glue and a base are not included in the box.
The subject is a volunteer of the Greater Poland Forces of 1920, from the period of the Polish-Bolshevik War. The uniform and gear of the early 1920s are a transitional stage between the First World War and the later interwar patterns: a simple field uniform, leather straps, pouches and headgear of the period cut. For the modeler it is a subject almost missing from the usual run of 1:35 figures, so it fills out both a collection and a themed diorama.
Wash the casting in lukewarm soapy water and remove the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw, sand the mating surfaces and protect your airways when sanding resin. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). After the primer, choose a muted palette; field uniforms of that time look convincing when the base shade is lightened slightly on the raised places and darkened in the folds. Paint the leather parts separately and polish them lightly with a dry brush. Work pigment into the boots and the lower trousers so that the figure looks as if it had been in the field.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
