Pz.IV Ausf.H 1:35 — Eduard painting masks

A set of painting masks from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for the kit of the German medium tank Panzer IV Ausf.H in 1:35 scale. It is not a model but an accessory for clean painting. The masks are cut from thin self-adhesive film and follow the shape of the parts, so hand trimming and taping fall away.

The real subject

The Panzer IV was the most widely used German medium tank of the Second World War, and the Ausf.H is among its most numerous versions. It carried the long 75 mm gun and often also the side armor skirts, in German Schürzen, as protection against antitank weapons. The running gear is made up of pairs of road wheels with rubber tire bands.

What the masks are for

The masks let you separate the color of the rubber tire bands from the metal centers of the road wheels and paint small areas cleanly. The result is a precise border without slow masking by hand.

How to use the masks

• Lift the mask off the backing and stick it exactly onto the part.
• Spray the paint, ideally with an airbrush in thin coats.
• Once it has dried, peel the mask off carefully.
• The masks are single-use and shaped for this subject.

Who they are for

• Modelers who want to paint the road wheels of the tank quickly and cleanly.
• Anyone held up by masking with tape by hand.

This is an accessory for a plastic kit. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
