A canvas cover for the South Korean M47 with a searchlight, 1:35 from DEF Model is a resin accessory set for a tank model, not a vehicle kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
Note that this is not a tank model. It is a resin accessory set that holds the canvas cover for the barrel and the gun shield as South Korean M47 tanks carried it, together with a set for the AN/VSS-3 searchlight. The set is fitted to a finished model and its purpose is single: to replace a hard plastic part with a casting that has a realistic sag and the texture of fabric.
The canvas cover around the gun shield is one of those details you notice on a model at once. It is difficult to mold in plastic, because a mold does not allow undercuts and the folds come out flat. A resin casting has no such problem, so the result reads like a real dusty, slightly sagging cover. The xenon searchlight mounted above the gun is in turn a prominent sign of a particular service and fit that a basic kit usually does not contain, or handles in a simplified way.
Wash the castings in lukewarm water with dish soap so that the paint holds on them, and cut the casting blocks off with a saw. Level the mating surface on sandpaper and above all try dry how the part seats on the model; with accessory sets the original plastic detail often has to be sanded away. Glue with super glue, which gives a firm bond even on smooth surfaces. Paint the cover differently from the rest of the vehicle: fabric is more matte, ages differently and catches more dust. A filter and a thin wash into the folds, which brings out the texture of the weave, work well on it. Do the glass of the searchlight at the very end so that it stays clean.
This is an accessory set for a model, not a tank kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
