A rural set in 1:35 scale is a resin diorama accessory from the Czech manufacturer Plusmodel, which fills a scene with the equipment of a village farm.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds a collection of resin castings for a rural scene in 1:35 scale. It is neither a model of equipment nor a building, but the fittings that turn an empty base into an inhabited place. Castings of polyurethane resin catch the surface texture of wood and the wear better than injection-molded plastic, which is decisive with small objects in a large scale.
Rural settings are among the most rewarding subjects for dioramas: equipment or figures placed at a farm building, in a yard or by a field track gain context and a human dimension at once. The accessories suit scenes from Central as well as Eastern Europe, where farms resembled each other across regions, and they work just as well in a civilian vignette with no military equipment.
Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water, cut the casting blocks off with a fine-toothed saw and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. With small objects it pays to paint them on a skewer before setting them into the scene. Wood looks best with a light base, oil glazes and a dark wash into the joints; darken the metal and add fine rust. Leave a few objects worn down to the bare material, as rural tools tend to be used rather than new.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
