Aber 1:35 photo-etched detail set - Sd.Kfz.184 Ferdinand is a photo-etched metal accessory for refining the build of the Ferdinand heavy tank destroyer.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a photo-etched metal detail set, not a kit for the whole vehicle. The set adds fine metal details to the plastic model of the Ferdinand heavy tank destroyer: meshes, brackets, metal fittings and small superstructure features, which injected plastic cannot capture at the right thickness. It is meant as an add-on for a model of this vehicle in 1:35 scale.
The Sd.Kfz.184 Ferdinand was a German heavy tank destroyer of 1943, built on a Porsche chassis and armed with a long 88 mm anti-tank gun in a fixed armored casemate. It was driven by an electric transmission. It was first fielded in the Battle of Kursk; the heavy, thickly armored vehicle had exceptional range, but it suffered breakdowns and lacked a machine gun for close defense.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a glass surface and form the bends on a photo-etch bending tool for clean edges. To bond metal to plastic, use cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) or epoxy glue. Degrease the parts and apply a metal primer before painting; a wash and drybrushing will bring the large armor surfaces to life.
This is a detail set, not a vehicle model. The base kit, glue, paints and other parts are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
