This is a photo-etched detail and add-on set in 1:35 scale, not a standalone model. The set contains the photo-etched shield of the front machine gun and fine buckles for the faithful fastening of tools on the hull of the German Sd.Kfz. 251 armored half-track carrier in the Ausf. C version.
The front machine gun of the carrier was protected by a sheet-metal shield, which in photo-etch comes out substantially thinner and truer than in plastic. The miniature buckles replace the bland plastic brackets and make it possible to fasten shovels, pickaxes and other tools realistically to the sides of the hull.
Separate the small parts with a sharp knife, bend the buckles carefully to match the real subject and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer suitable for metal; once painted with an airbrush, the fine details will be brought out by a wash and a dry brush.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
