An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet light tracked AT-P artillery tractor in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. The model has a separate lower and upper hull, an elaborate running gear and plastic track links. A photo-etched part is usually included as well. The kit is meant to be assembled and painted.
The AT-P was a Soviet light tracked tractor put into production at the beginning of the 1950s. It was powered by a gasoline engine of about 110 horsepower mounted at the rear. It served mainly to tow anti-tank and field guns, for example of 85 mm and 100 mm caliber, and in some armies it also acted as a light armored personnel carrier for the gun crew.
First assemble and complete the running gear and the interior, and only then close up the hull. Use thin modeling cement on the plastic and super glue on the photo-etched parts. We recommend a primer and an airbrush. Mud and dust effects with washes and pigments will give the tractor the realistic look of field service.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
