A basic photo-etched set from Aber in 1:35 scale in brass. It serves to sharpen a plastic model of the Soviet JS-2 heavy tank. It is not a model but an accessory that replaces the coarser plastic features with thin metal parts of true engraving.
The JS-2, the Iosif Stalin 2, was a Soviet heavy tank from the second half of the Second World War. It carried a massive 122 mm gun and thick armor and was meant to break through the German defenses. It was among the most powerful Soviet tanks of the closing stage of the war.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife and shape the bends on a bending tool. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Degrease the metal before painting and apply a primer. Finish the hull and the turret first, and only then add the fine photo-etched features.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
