Steel barrels 1:35 are an accessory set for dioramas and for the load areas of vehicles, not a model in its own right. They add to a scene the ordinary fuel and oil drums that belong to the equipment of every store, workshop and military rear area.

A set of small accessories from the Czech maker Hauler meant for finishing off dioramas, vignettes and the load areas of trucks or trailers. It is not a kit of a vehicle - they are separate sheet-metal drums that you model in where you need to break up an empty area and give a scene scale and credibility.
The sheet-metal drum with a cylindrical shell, pressed stiffening hoops and screw bungs in the end is among the most widespread containers of the twentieth century. Fuel, oils, tar and drinking water were all carried and stored in it. They stood at dumps, at fuel points, in workshops and in the rear of combat units. The basic shape has practically not changed since the Second World War, so the drums will fit into scenes from the 1940s to the present day.
First deburr the parts, check that the ends are square and sand the traces of the mold with fine abrasive paper - on a smooth cylindrical shell every shortcoming of the ground tells once it has been sprayed. Degrease before painting and apply a base. The best result comes from layering: the base shade, thin filters for the different ages of the individual pieces, and only then rust from pigments and oil paints. Never paint the drums all the same, as a varying degree of wear makes a natural impression. You will suggest the scuffed edges of the hoops by drybrushing, and running oil with a dark glossy enamel drawn from the top down. Drums laid on their side can be partly sunk into the base, so that they do not look stuck on.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
