Aber Steyr RSO mit Pak 40 – Vol. 2 (driver's cab) is an add-on photo-etched metal set in 1:35 aimed at refining the driver's cab on a model of the German tank destroyer.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched metal detail set from Aber in 1:35 scale, the second part of the line (Vol. 2), aimed at the driver's cab of the improvised German Steyr RSO tank destroyer with the 7.5 cm Pak 40 gun. It follows on from the basic set and adds the fine metal elements of the cab.
The Steyr RSO (Raupenschlepper Ost) was a fully tracked tractor for the Eastern Front whose chassis also served as a carrier for the 7.5 cm Pak 40 antitank gun. The driver's cab was simple and open; the small sheet metal details, the instrument elements and the brackets come out well precisely when made from thin photo-etched metal.
Break the photo-etched parts carefully out of the fret with a sharp blade and dress the edges. Make the bends along the etched score lines using a bending tool or two rules; thicker parts can be briefly annealed to make forming easier. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue or two-part epoxy. Lay a primer on the metal before painting, or the paint will not hold well.
This is a photo-etched detail set, not the model itself. The model, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
