Decals in 1:35 scale for the T-34/76 Model 1943 tank in German captured service. Wet decals, applied through water.
Responsibility details are not available.
The German side used captured Soviet T-34 tanks in its own ranks. With them the markings played an unusually important part: a machine with the silhouette of the enemy had to be set apart clearly so that its own units did not treat it as a target. For a modeler it is a rewarding subject, because a Soviet tank in foreign colors and with foreign markings catches the eye in a display case even among people who otherwise cannot tell one vehicle from another. The set is listed for the T-34/76 Model 1943 in 1:35 scale.
These are wet decals. First even out the spot where the decal is going with gloss varnish, otherwise air will stay underneath it and silvering will show around the subject. Cut the decal out close to the subject, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it stand until it starts to slide on the backing paper. Then lay it on the model and move it into place with a brush, blotting the excess water off with a cloth from the center outward.
The surface of the tank is not smooth: there are welds, rivets and rough cast areas on it. A decal will not settle over them on its own, so put a drop of decal softener on it and let it work until it clings to the relief. Once everything is dry, even the surface out with matte varnish and only then dust and dirty the model, so that fresh markings do not look like stuck-on paper.
The tank model, the paints, the varnishes and the decal softener are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
