An Aber telegraph pillar with 4 crossarms of 8 insulators each in 1:35 scale is a richly fitted diorama structure made of photo-etched parts. You build a tall multi-arm pillar, not a vehicle model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set from the manufacturer Aber in 1:35 scale for building a telegraph, or power, pillar with four crossarms, each carrying eight insulators. It is the tall, multi-arm variant in the range with a mass of wires. It is neither a vehicle kit nor a figure, but a standalone diorama feature made of fine photo-etched metal parts and other components.
A multi-arm telegraph pillar is a prominent accessory along roads and railways in dioramas of the Second World War and in civilian scenes. It creates a tall vertical centerpiece with a dense run of wires above a column of vehicles or a railway station. Modelers usually make the shaft of the pillar themselves out of dowel, and the set supplies the crossarms and the insulators.
Cut the photo-etched parts off the fret and clean them up; sand the wooden shaft and bring out the grain of the wood. Prime the metal parts and paint them with acrylics; the insulators are finished with a gloss varnish. With four crossarms it pays to plan the wire runs in advance so that the arms do not cross. Use cyanoacrylate glue for the metal.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The shaft of the pillar, glue, paints and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
