A photo-etched detail set in 1:35 scale from Hauler, intended for refining a plastic model of the German heavy tank Tiger I Ausf.E. It is not a tank kit but an accessory in thin etched metal which replaces the coarser plastic parts with finer, more faithful elements. It typically adds radiator grilles, fenders, brackets, tool clamps and other detail that plastic cannot capture thinly enough.
The Tiger I Ausf.E was a German heavy tank of the Second World War, famous for its heavy armor and its 88 mm gun. It was committed from 1942 on all the main fronts and became a symbol of German armored strength. The form differed over the course of production, and it is worth matching the detail used to that.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and bend them over an edge or in a bending tool. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or solder them in small areas. Apply a primer before painting for paint adhesion on smooth metal, then camouflage, washes and pigments for the patina of a combat vehicle.
