A set of workshop equipment for repairing the tires of American vehicles in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of a vehicle but a resin diorama accessory from the production of the Czech manufacturer Plusmodel. It is precisely the service facilities, that is workshops, tools and work in progress, that are among the most rewarding subjects for dioramas: they show equipment in everyday use, not only on parade.
The set is ideal for scenes from the rear of American units of the Second World War: a repair company, a field workshop by a road or a motor pool with a truck standing with a wheel raised. Combine it with American vehicles in 1:35 scale, figures of mechanics and other workshop props, and a scene with a story arises, one at which the viewer will stop.
First wash the resin castings in warm soapy water, cut the casting blocks off carefully and glue the parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Protect your airways while sanding resin. Workshop equipment positively invites weathering: a base in a dark metal color, accents with drybrushing, oils and pigments for grease, dust and abrasion. Paint the individual pieces of equipment in shades of American olive drab and machine gray so that the scene looks of a piece.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
