A set of two figures of members of the American special forces in Afghan deployment, in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
In the set there are two figures of members of the American special forces from the deployment in Afghanistan, in 1:35 scale. A pair is the most rewarding number for a diorama: the figures can be stood so that they are evidently dealing with one another, and yet the scene does not become so dense that the model of the vehicle or the terrain is lost.
A figure gives a diorama scale. With a vehicle on its own the viewer cannot imagine its real size, but as soon as a person stands beside it, everything gets the right dimensions. At the same time figures tell a story: a look in one direction, a hand on the gear or a conversation between two figures say more about a scene than further accessories.
Figures tend to be supplied in several parts, so follow the manufacturer's instructions for the assembly procedure and test the joints dry first. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the rest away; on the face and hands proceed with particular care, because every intervention shows there. Before painting, wash and degrease the figures and apply a base color. Proceed from the top down and from the face to the gear, best in thin layers and with shadows in the folds. Spray the camouflage pattern at a reduced size so that it does not look coarse on a small figure.
The set suits models of contemporary equipment in the same scale and dioramas from contemporary conflicts. The vehicle, a base, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
