Responsibility details are not available.
A stand-alone figure in 1:35 scale cast in resin, meant for winter scenes and for models of equipment from the start of the Second World War. It is not a vehicle kit but an addition to a diorama. The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The maker is the Polish brand Toro Model, focused on figures and accessories in this scale.
The Winter War was a conflict between Finland and the Soviet Union that ran from November 1939 to March 1940 and was fought in hard frost and deep snow. Finnish infantry operated in wooded terrain and their gear was therefore adapted to the cold. The figure represents an infantry officer. For the details of the uniform, the rank insignia and the gear, go by the illustration on the box.
Wash the casting in lukewarm soapy water because of the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). With winter figures, pure white looks unnatural. Build the base from a light gray instead and use white only on the highest surfaces, adding a cold blue-gray tone in the shadows. The snow on the boots and the hem of the coat is made with a modeling snow paste or a mixture of white pigment and matte varnish. Keep the face picked out in warmer shades so that it stands out against the white scene.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
