A set of figures in 1:35 scale from the stylized line of the Tori Factory brand, in which the crew of armored vehicles is rendered with animal heads. This set carries the designation A and works with the gorilla motif. The uniforms and the equipment match the German army of the Second World War, while the heads themselves are deliberately unrealistic, which makes the figures a subject for a humorous or comic-book display scene rather than for a historically sober diorama.
The figures are meant to complete a model of an armored vehicle in 1:35 scale, typically as a crew in the turret hatch, on the hull or beside the machine. The vehicle model and a base are not included in the package. Before building, stand the figures dry against the model and check that the poses suit that particular vehicle, which tends to be critical with seated and half figures.
Small figure castings call for careful cleanup of the parting lines and the remains of the sprue gates, because on a small area every burr shows once it is painted. Wash the parts in lukewarm water with dish soap and let them dry thoroughly, and only then apply primer. Paint from the top down and from the large areas to the details, the uniform first as a whole and only then pick out the folds with a dry brush and the recesses with a thin wash. The fur of an animal head looks best when you lay it in dark and apply the lighter shade only to the raised areas, which creates depth. Finally even out the sheen with a matte varnish, or the figure will look plasticky.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. The vehicle model, glue, paints and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
